Peter van Agtmael
"There is a madness to war, particularly the two current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which are filled with contradiction and question. In his first photo book, 2nd Tour, Hope I Don’t Die, regular FADER contributor Peter van Agtmael gives us deep insight into the psychological effects on the wars’ soldiers. Their faces look out, troubled and traumatized, anxious and contemplative, while their words, in the form of scrawled graffiti, offer up their innermost thoughts and lend themselves to the book’s title."

Jan van Nuenen’s Thorny Animation for Basement Jaxx
Basement Jaxx's European tour dates for their new album Scars. Now, Dutch animator Jan van Nuenen made a old-school trippy “visual” (yeah we said it) that Dutch animator Jan van Nuenen made for their live show. His thorny cornucopia, seed tossing, crabby parasites and vicious carnivorous plants give Kelis’ chorus, “Kiss me when I wake up,” a totally different context.
Matthew Chamber's Artwork
Matthew Chambers’ does and names it “Self Portrait With More Difficult Shirt to Paint,”. Other paintings in Chambers’ new show at Rental Gallery in New York, which will only be up for a few more days before Brendan Fowler aka BARR’s show which opens on October 24th. (Late timing...beautiful work.)

Google's New Music Search

Just recently Google announced that they have created a new music search. The music search offers audio previews of songs, as well as links to music-based websites such as Rhapsody, MySpace, and Lala.
What this new music search also offers is Google's new and improve ability to recognize fragments of music lyrics, just in case you forgot what song you wanted to search. This feature is widely needed and can be greatly beneficial to both Google and it's customers.

New Media For The Halloween Holidays
Verizon phone company has come together with Motortola creating a new smart phone for Verizon. This smart phone, known as the Android 2.0, will come out on November 6th, 2009 and will be $199. This phone features all the smart phone qualities such as maps that are GPS enabled.
As for the Internet, both Google and Yahoo! have improved their music searches for easier and faster music finds. So far there is no partnership between Google and Yahoo! but still have some investments between them going. For other music searches, you can now share Pandora playlists with Twitter and/or Facebook with a click of a button.
Just to continue on the competition with Paypal, Amazon created a new feature known as "Payphrase", in which you enter a four-digit code that links to your credit card and Amazon account.
